Hardness (viscosity) Has no bearing on quality whatsoever, so don’t be lead to believe that it does. The firmer the foam, the higher viscosity. We give the viscosity a number. In our own Memory Foam the viscosity is 85 Newton's. You can easily be confused, mistaking the viscosity for the density. In so doing you may assume that the foam is better quality than it other wise is. Be careful !!
Flame retardant
Because of a bit of a loop-hole in the legislation, Memory foam is exempt from the Crib 5 fire safety regulation when sold as a medical appliance. This could have consequences for your household insurance if you not registered disabled. Only buy foam that is fully compliant (Mine is)
How it works
Memory foam has a unique property in that it is
temperature sensitive. Memory foam softens the warmer it
gets. You may feel on delivery that the memory foam
Mattress or topper feels firmer than you require. Don't
panic!
Memory Foam 1/2‘s its firmness between room
temperature and body temperature. The cells in the foam
take a few weeks to become fully elastic.
Memory Foam moulds perfectly to your shape. Thus
providing far more support than a normal mattress.
Quality:
This particular memory foam is used by many of the
countries leading bed manufactures. Including Air sprung
for example.Whilst we appreciate that the clear market
leader for Memory foam is Temper Medic. We feel
confident in saying
that our Memory foam is comparable in quality to
temper just as resilient to wear but at a fraction of
the cost
